Top 3 Reasons Why You Should Elope in Rocky Mountain National Park

Have you been considering eloping in the mountains? Then there’s no better place to get married than Rocky Mountain National Park! With the most insane views, its accessible ceremony options, and prime location in Colorado, it really can’t be beat.

  1. Rocky Mountain National Park is Insanely Beautiful

Okay, so this first point might sound like a no-brainer. You’re probably thinking, “Yeah, I’ve heard all about the beauty of the Rockies in Colorado. So what? There are a ton of beautiful places all around the U.S.!” And while yes, I would agree with you, there’s just something so uniquely breathtaking about Rocky Mountain National Park. Not only are you surrounded by mountains everywhere you go, there are so many options for gorgeous ceremony spots that also have lush greenery or beautiful alpine lakes. If you’re not afraid of a 5+ mile long hike to get to that perfect, secluded spot, then RMNP is your proverbial oyster.

2. Accessible Options in the Mountains

There are a ton of locations in Rocky Mountain National Park that don’t require any hiking, such as Lily Lake, Sprague Lake, and Echo Lake just to name a few! You can just drive right up to these locations, and they even have their own parking lots to make things that much easier. This makes it really nice if you want to have a small group of family or friends at your elopement, or if you or your partner want to get married surrounded by breathtaking views, but aren’t able to hike for long distances.

3. Prime Location

Rocky Mountain National Park is bordered by a mountain town called Estes Park. This means you'll be able to get an Airbnb or hotel right next to RMNP, so you don't have to worry about driving 2+ hours just to get to your elopement spot! This also means that you’ll be able to take your time, relax, and get coffee in the morning or go to a fun bar or restaurant in the evening very easily! The prime location right next to the beautiful mountain town makes RMNP one of the best places to elope.

If you’ve been thinking about eloping in Rocky Mountain National Park, take this as your sign to DO IT! With its stunning scenery, an abundance of locations to choose from, and its easy access from Estes Park, there’s really no better option.
